CLB3X3 in conjunction with the Lane Cove Council are proud to announce the installation and activation of a brand new outdoor Fiba spec 3X3 court and state of the art Megaslam Hoop at Blackman Park in Lane Cove, Sydney. This will be the second of its kind in Australia, joining the recently completed JNC Group Waterfront Arena in Darwin.
CLB’s General Manager Matt Hollard was excited to see the Lane Cove court come to fruition and praised the Councils vision to back their concept “It is very hard to keep things under wraps and not get too excited when you are physically witnessing another element of your long term vision come to life, said Matt Hollard.
A combination of permanent and semi permanent structures designed specifically for 3X3 training, playing and competitions, along with creating a truly National league of players both male and female is happening and we will continue to deliver this model right around the country.”
From the moment Basketball Australia approached CLB to have a look at this exciting new sport back in 2015, CLB knew it would be a winner. Since then it has gone from strength to strength, now making its debut in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games & future Commonwealth Games.
CLB saw the need to create an equal space for both male and female players and educate the grass roots players on the pathways from the streets to the Olympics as well as Challengers & World Tours. The facility at Blackman Park will assist greatly in being able to achieve that.
“Not only are our courts FIBA3X3 approved but they are endorsed and considered an Elite level court surface. That is a major difference to what some of the other court suppliers and many of our competitors are doing.” said Matt Carman, Event Operations for CLB3X3.

The CLB3X3 installations are world class and are replica’s of what the elite play on when competing on the world circuit. Blackman Park Lane Cove 3X3 launches this Sunday15th December from Midday onwards. There will be food, a family friendly atmosphere, an official opening by the Mayor of Lane Cove Pam Palmer and of course an exhilarating showcase of 3X3 Basketball from the Juniors right through to the Open’s.
Spectators can enjoy this event for FREE and the court will be open to the public for free 7 days a week. Exclusive court bookings are also welcome via the online booking system.
